Good Morning!
As I rise

Why do men act so strong? I mean why do they feel the need to boost their little hidden insecurities by doing dumb shit like partying or flirting with females. Keep them marinating much? Lol why do they "aim to kill", what does that say about them? Were they abused as children or something!? See its so funny because what men fail to realize that these silly little antics get them nowhere, it is much easier for a woman to fall in love as for a man, its a slight less different. So when a male is indeed in love or has some perception of loving someone, the pain is thus deeper, simply because it took that much work to get there. Funniest part, is that no matter what the age, the games are there. "When you lose something, you realize its serious" aahhhh got to love lines like that! But why can't they realize its serious when they have it? Why can't they provide the essentials neccesary in order to maintain a successful and functioning relationship. What makes this so hard? Is it us females? Or is it those difficult creatures we call males? Something to think about....

its been a while...

i haven't blogged in a few, been extremely busy.

but over the weekend i got the chance to hear the itunes audibook of "he's just not that into you", (i know too lazy to read) haha..

i must say i know why they made it into a movie, although i have yet to watch the movie, i do recommend reading or listening to the audio book.

the situations made me think profoundly as a woman, and reconsider a lot of the things i deal with in the dating world.

Certain situations hit home, some even gave me chills because i related entirely.

I need a person who feels just like me

who appreciates what I give

A person who recognizes change

Willing to make it better

Willing to make it stronger

A person who doesn't take advantage

Who puts a mind set that I could be here one minute and not the next, even though I'm sure I'm staying, just to keep it "alive".

Most of all, a person who sees that the past is the past and people act accordingly with different people.

A man, who can show me new things A person I can admire, a person who admires me.

the touch of words.

So, I was very blessed to have been invited to a poetry slam on friday. While many close people within my circle have been to the place many times, i had actually never visited it. Nuyorican poets cafe in nyc provided a feel of mixed poetry. Poetry about love, religion, and life itself. I fell in love with a particular poet names Falu, (might be misspelled) Her choice of words gave me as well as the crowd chills. She was vivid and choice while adding some sarcasm which made the experience quite enjoyable. I recommend the place to anyone who is in touch with their inner spirits.
